A Bit About Me
I'm a small town girl living on the outskirts of Friendly Feilding. I have a lovely man about the house, two very energetic young children, and a Labrador pup called Tilly who follows me everywhere. I have a solid makeup artistry background spanning 18 years now - read below for more details on that. I have taken a little break over the last couple of years due to my little people arriving into my life but the makeup brushes are back out and ready to get to work again.
I'm a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to hobbies. I have just completed a Diploma in Nutrition and currently studying towards becoming a Personal Trainer. You can find me teaching group fitness classes at Evolve in Feilding, I love a good book, dabble in a bit of painting, attempt growing vegetables in the garden and am looking forward to heading away in the caravan this summer!
My Vision
I love giving women the tools to empower themselves and makeup is one of those fabulous tools that we have at our disposal. I am a big believer in being true to who you are and I love natural makeup. I love skin that glows and freckles that pop. I like makeup that looks fresh and show the person through and through. Finding the feature that you love the most and really making it sing whether it is your eyes lined with mascara, full lips with a sweep of gloss or glowing, dewy, fresh looking skin. I'm certain that together we will create a look that you will love and that truly reflects who you are. I took the big step and started 'Kate O'Hara Makeup'.
In 2020 my daughter was born and in 2022 my little boy came along. The brushes were put away and I was lucky to put some time into raising my little babies.
Straight off the cuff I landed a job with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in Kirkcaldie and Stains, Wellington.
2010 - I moved up to Auckland to open Bobbi Brown, St Lukes.
2010 - I won an award that sent me off to New York for a masterclass with Bobbi Brown herself and her Pro beauty team.
2012 - I moved to London and worked for Bobbi Brown in Peter Jones, Sloane Square.
2015 - I was back in NZ and opened Bobbi Brown, Palmerston North.
2017 - I recieved the Bobbi Brown Studio Manager of the Year Award.
2006
Gained a Certificate in Makeup Artistry from the Samala Robinson Academy in Auckland.
Work experience at New Zealand Fashion Week.
