Who am I?   I'm a small town girl living on the outskirts of Friendly Feilding.  I have a lovely man about the house and two very energetic young children that keep me on my toes.  I have a solid makeup artistry background spanning 17 years now - just read below for more detail.  I've taken a little break over the last couple of years due to my little people coming into my life but the makeup brushes are back out and ready to get to work again.  
I'm a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to hobbies.  I love a good book, I'm currently studying towards a diploma in Nutrition, I dabble in a bit of painting, when the weather is good I try to get into the garden and running half marathons has become a bit of a thing this year, much to my absolute surprise.

How did I get here? 
- I attended the Samala Robinson Academy in 2006 where I gained a Certificate in Makeup Artistry.
- In 2007 I landed a job in Kircaldie & Stains, Wellington, with Bobbi Brown.
- In 2010 I moved to Auckland and opened the Bobbi Brown store in St Lukes.
- In Nov 2010 I won an award that sent me off to New York for a week of Master class with Bobbi Brown and her Pro team.
- In 2012, I moved to London and landed a job with Bobbi Brown working in Peter Jones, Sloane Square.
- In 2015 (back in NZ), I was offered the position of Studio Manager for the new Palmerston North Bobbi Brown store. 
- In 2017,  I won the Studio Managers Award for Bobbi Brown NZ and we won the Bobbi Brown team of the Year Award.
- In late 2017, I took the big step and started my own Makeup Artistry business, Kate O'Hara Makeup, which I absolutely loved.
- In 2020 I decided to take a break while I had my beautiful daughter, Ruby, and little Patrick was born in 2022.
 
 My makeup philosophy.  I am a big believer in being true to who you are and I love natural makeup.  I love skin that glows and freckles that pop.  I like makeup that looks fresh and shows the person through and through.  Finding the feature that you love the most and really making it sing whether it is your eyes lined with mascara, full lips with a sweep of gloss or glowing, dewy, fresh looking skin.  I'm certain that together we will create a look that you will love.
